भव सागर से उसकी नैया,तू पल में पार लगाए। यह श्लोक सांसारिक अस्तित्व (भव सागर) के पार भक्त की यात्रा दर्शाने के लिए एक नाव के रूपक का उपयोग करता है। भगवान शिव के प्रति समर्पण करके, भक्त आसानी से इस महासागर को पार कर दूसरे किनारे तक पहुंच सकता है।
संकट में भक्तो को बढ कर तू भोले आप संभाले॥ यहां, भगवान शिव की पूजा संकट के समय अपने भक्तों का विशेष ध्यान रखने वाले के रूप में की जाती है। भजन उनके दयालु स्वभाव में विश्वास व्यक्त करता है, क्योंकि वे स्वयं अपने भक्तों की रक्षा करते हैं।
है कोई नहीं इस दुनिया में तेरे जैसा वरदानी। यह पंक्ति बताती है कि इस दुनिया में भगवान शिव जैसा कोई नहीं है, और वह सबसे दयालु वरदानी हैं।
नित्त सुमरिन करते नाम तेरा सब संत ऋषि और ग्यानी। भक्त को लगातार ध्यान करने और भगवान शिव के नाम का जाप करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि साधु-संत और ज्ञानी भी इनके नाम का निरंतर स्मरण करते रहते हैं।
ना जाने किस पर खुश हो कर तू क्या से क्या दे डाले॥ यह अंतिम श्लोक भगवान शिव के आशीर्वाद और कृपा पर विस्मय और आश्चर्य व्यक्त करता है। यह दर्शाता है कि कैसे, बिना किसी स्पष्ट कारण के, वह अकल्पनीय उपहार और वरदान देकर किसी का जीवन बदल सकता है।
त्रिलोक के स्वामी हो कर भी क्या औघड़ रूप बनाए। “त्रिलोक के स्वामी हो कर भी” अर्थात “भले ही आप तीनों लोकों (त्रिलोक) के स्वामी हैं, फिर भी आपने विकराल (औघड़) रूप क्यों धारण किया?” भक्त को आश्चर्य होता है कि भगवान शिव ने उग्र और विस्मयकारी रूप क्यों धारण किया।
कर में डमरू त्रिशूल लिए और नाग गले लिपटाये। यह श्लोक भगवान शिव के दिव्य स्वरूप का वर्णन करता है। “कर में डमरू त्रिशूल लिए” भगवान शिव को अपने हाथों में डमरू और त्रिशूल धारण करने के लिए संदर्भित करता है। “और नाग गले लिपटाये” का अर्थ है एक नागराज उनकी गर्दन के चारों ओर लिपटा हुआ है, जो यह दर्शाता है की किस प्रकार भगवान् शिव अहंकार और कामनाओं को अपने वश में करके रखते है।
तुम त्याग के अमृत, पीते हो नित् प्रेम से विष के प्याले॥ यह लाइन भगवान शिव के अद्वितीय स्वभाव को दर्शाती है। भगवान शिव को समुद्र मंथन के दौरान निकले विष को पीने के लिए जाना जाता है, जो प्रेम और करुणा के साथ ब्रह्मांड के बोझ को सहन करने की उनकी इच्छा को दर्शाता है।
तप खंडित करने काम देव जब इन्द्र लोक से आया। यह श्लोक उस घटना को संदर्भित करता है जहां प्रेम के देवता कामदेव ने इंद्र के स्वर्ग में भगवान शिव के ध्यान को भंग कर दिया था। “तप खंडित करने काम देव” का अर्थ है जब कामदेव ने आपके ध्यान को बाधित करने का साहस किया। इसके परिणामस्वरूप भगवान शिव की उग्र तीसरी आंख से कामदेव भस्म हो गए।
और साध के अपना काम बाण तुम पर वो मूरख चलाया। यहां, भजन में उल्लेख किया गया है कि कैसे अहंकारी कामदेव ने भगवान शिव की भावनाओं को नियंत्रित करने के लिए अपने तीरों यानी की काम बाण का इस्तेमाल किया।
तब खोल तीसरा नयन भसम उसको पल में कर डाले॥ “जब आपने अपनी तीसरी आंख खोली,” भगवान शिव ने कामदेव को एक पल में राख (भस्म) में बदल दिया। तीसरी आंख, जो उनकी दिव्य चेतना की शक्ति का प्रतीक था।
जब चली कालिका क्रोधित हो खप्पर और खडग उठाए। “जब चली कालिका क्रोधित हो” देवी काली, पार्वती का अवतार, को संदर्भित करता है, जो उग्र और क्रोधित हो जाती है। “खप्पर और खड़ग उठाये” का अर्थ है “खोपड़ी का कटोरा और तलवार पकड़ना।” यह पंक्ति काली को उसके विकराल रूप में चित्रित करती है।
तब हाहाकार मचा जग में सब सुर और नर घबराए। जब काली ने अपने उग्र रूप धारण किया, तो सभी प्राणियों और मनुष्यों के बीच उथल-पुथल और भय था।
तुम बीच डगर में सो कर शक्ति देवी की हर डाले॥ इस श्लोक में, भगवान शिव उस पथ (डगर) में लेटे हुए हैं जहाँ काली भयंकर रूप से विचरण कर रही हैं। ऐसा करके, वह उसके गुस्से को शांत करते है और उसे शांतिपूर्ण स्थिति में वापस लाते है।
अब दृष्टि दया की भक्तो पर हे डमरू-धर कर देना। अब, हे डमरू धारक (भगवान्), अपने भक्तों पर अपनी दयालु दृष्टि बरसाओ। भक्त, सभी भक्तों के लिए, भगवान शिव से आशीर्वाद चाहता है।
भक्तों की झोली गौरी शंकर भर देना। “हे गौरी शंकर (भगवान शिव और पार्वती का एक प्रतीक), भक्तों के दिलों को अपने दिव्य आशीर्वाद से भरें।” यह भजन भगवान शिव और पार्वती से भक्तों के लिए आशीर्वाद की कामना करता है।
